Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a client’s engineering team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with electrical design software, and excellent communication skills. This role offers a competitive salary based on experience and requires 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Diploma holders with strong experience may be considered.
• Additional certifications in AutoCAD, Revit MEP or ETAP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout plans for projects.
• Design power distribution systems, lighting layouts, earthing systems, and control wiring.
• Conduct electrical load calculations and short-circuit analysis.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications and cable sizing reports.
• Review client requirements, applicable codes and industry standards.

Skills

Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, etc.)

Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes (IEC, NEC, IS) and safety standards

Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, E-Plan)

Excellent analytical, documentation and troubleshooting skills

Effective communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Time management and ability to handle multiple design projects

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Diploma holders with strong experience

Additional certifications in AutoCAD, Revit MEP or ETAP
