Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a BIM Modeler for electrical systems. The role involves developing detailed models, preparing construction drawings, and collaborating with other design teams to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in BIM modeling in the UAE, proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, and familiarity with local regulations. Immediate availability is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of BIM modeling experience in design consultancy firms within the UAE/GCC.
• Proven experience in working on prestigious UAE projects (e.g. high-rise towers, airports).
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and standards.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed BIM models for electrical systems (lighting, power, ELV containment, etc.) using Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Work in close collaboration with electrical engineers and other design disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure accurate coordination.
• Prepare construction‑ready drawings, detailed layouts and schedules in accordance with project requirements and standards.
• Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure model compliance with company and client BIM standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings and assist in clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or other coordination tools.
• Support documentation model updates and revisions based on design changes, RFIs or client feedback.
• Ensure timely delivery of quality BIM outputs for design submissions, authority approvals and tender packages.

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of BIM modeling experience in design consultancy firms within the UAE/GCC.
• Proven experience in working on prestigious UAE projects (e.g. high‑rise towers, airports, hospitals or large commercial developments).
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and design standards (e.g. DEWA, ADDC, QCDD).
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, LOD standards and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Locally available candidates with immediate availability are preferred.
