Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of proven experience in electrical drafting for construction or MEP companies in the UAE/GCC.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, schematics, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, site teams, and other trades for accurate drawing production.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings schematics layouts and as-built drawings based on design specifications.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers site teams and other trades (mechanical civil architectural) to ensure accurate and efficient drawing production.
• Develop and update single line diagrams (SLDs) lighting layouts power layouts cable tray layouts and earthing systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA Dubai Municipality and other regulatory authorities requirements.
• Revise drawings based on engineering markups or site changes and maintain version control.
• Prepare load schedules circuiting panel board schedules and equipment layouts.
• Maintain project documentation and support technical submittals for approvals.
• Assist in BIM coordination if required especially using AutoCAD MEP or Revit.
• Conduct regular reviews of drawings to identify and rectify potential clashes or errors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
• 7 to 10 years of proven experience in electrical drafting for construction or MEP companies in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with Revit MEP is a plus.
• Familiarity with DEWA regulations local codes and international electrical drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
