Job summary

A diverse project consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Document Controller to manage document registration and enforce compliance with project standards. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Document Control Manager, responsible for document registration, issue control, transmittal and distribution. Enforce and implement document control procedures in compliance with the project and client standards.

Project Description

The project is a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing service networks for newly developed land and community facilities such as schools, mosques, parks, etc. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning controls design and engineering management and implementation of the development and early works packages.

Main Responsibilities
  • Control drawings, specifications, design records, standards, procedures, correspondence, minutes of meetings, supplier documents, etc.
  • Document registration, issue control, copying, distribution and transmittal.
  • Ability to generate, maintain and regularly provide an update on documentation statuses and reports.
  • Coordination and support of Consultants and Contractors document controllers.
  • Effectively communicate documentation issues within the project team, the Consultants and the Contractors in a clear and timely manner.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • Minimum overall relevant experience 5 years.
  • Minimum relevant experience 3 years in the role.
  • Experienced user of internet-based document control systems preferred e.g., Asite.
  • Experienced user of MS Office.
  • Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, Arabic speaker an advantage.
