What do we expect from you

Mondrian Abu Dhabi is set to be the latest chapter in this unique journey and were looking for a Director of Rooms to join us during the preopening phase. As the Director of Rooms you will be a key player in the preopening phase responsible for establishing and leading all aspects of the Rooms Division. From creating exceptional guest experiences to managing operations in the Front Desk Guest Relations Housekeeping Guest Services and Spa departments your leadership will set the stage for success. The Director of Rooms will ensure that the Mondrian standards are upheld from day one and will be at the forefront of shaping the guest experience.

How your day looks like
  • Lead the preopening efforts of the Rooms Division including recruitment training operational setup and team development.
  • Ensure the seamless setup and operation of all guest room services public areas and departments such as Front Desk Guest Relations Housekeeping Guest Services and Spa.
  • Establish and maintain Mondrians unique service standards ensuring they are integrated into all guest touchpoints.
  • Cultivate a highperformance culture within the Rooms Division motivating and guiding a team of passionate and servicedriven professionals.
  • Monitor guest feedback and metrics proactively addressing opportunities for improvement to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance of the Rooms Division ensuring cost control and operational efficiency while maintaining luxury service levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotelwide operations and an elevated guest experience.
  • Ensure adherence to all health safety and environmental standards as well as local regulations.
  • Drive innovation within the Rooms Division embracing Mondrians creative and forwardthinking approach to hospitality.

This role demands strategic thinking strong leadership and a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximizing revenue and profitability.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Rooms Division management with at least 3 years in a Directorlevel role ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
  • Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
  • Prior preopening experience is highly preferred with a strong understanding of the operational and logistical aspects involved.
  • Strong customer orientation emotional intelligence and credibility with a sense of commitment and accountability.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership skills that inspire and unify teams around common goals striving for excellence in both quality and financial outcomes.
  • Strong financial management experience with the ability to control budgets and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and luxury experiences.
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality trends and industry best practices.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
  • Creative thinking and the ability to embrace innovation while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software (e.g. OPERA) is a plus.
