Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls throughout the DevOps pipeline including code repositories CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure utilising best practices for security scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security testing tools and processes seamlessly.
• Design and implement security automation for continuous monitoring alerting and response in cloud.
• Coordinate remediation efforts and track progress to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.
• Implement security controls and monitoring solutions to protect cloud environments from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure components identifying and remedying any security gaps or compliance issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enforce security best practices.
• Work closely with operations teams to optimize cloud resource utilization and performance minimising costs and improving efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g. PCI DSS GDPR) and regulatory requirements specific to the banking sector.
• Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on secure coding practices threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python Shell scripting) for automation and integration purposes.
• Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g. SIEM IDS/IPS DLP) and vulnerability management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• 58 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer with a strong focus on security operations within banking or financial services.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH AWS Certified Security Specialty AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
