Job summary
A leading engineering company in Sharjah is seeking a PV Design Engineer to lead the design of pressure vessel layouts and structural evaluations. The role requires significant experience with ASME codes and CAD software. Applicants must have a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience with high-pressure equipment. Ideal candidates will have over 7 years of relevant experience and the ability to produce and check designs reliably.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in stress vessel layout with relevant codes.
- 5 years in limited component analysis according to ASME VIII Div 2.
- 4 years of experience in stress vessel fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Lead developers in the layout of pressure vessels.

PV Design Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead developers in the layout of pressure vessels
- Develop principal designs of stress vessels to support proposals and prepare cost estimates
- Carry out structural evaluation
- Produce CAD designs and layout illustrations
- Check drawings, estimates and reports
- Apply relevant codes such as ASME, ABS, DNV, LRS, IMCA, IMO, etc
- Perform in-depth estimations using first principles and/or analysis such as stress-vessel software applications
- Liaise with third parties and address technical and project issues
Qualifications
- 7 years devoted experience in stress vessel layout with ASME VIII Division 1 and 2, PD 5500 and EN13445, including layout and analysis using PV Elite and SolidWorks
- 5 years specialized experience in limited component analysis according to ASME VIII Div 2, Part 5
- 4 years' experience in stress vessel fabrication in exotic products
- High level of technical expertise in mechanical engineering design and evaluation
- Hands-on experience in assembly and operation of high-pressure equipment and pressure vessels
- Strong knowledge and use of codes such as ASME, ABS, DNV, LRS, IMCA, IMO, etc
- Valid driver’s license
