A leading recruitment firm in Umm Al Quwain is seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the design and technical teams for a modular furniture manufacturer. The role involves leading the development of innovative 2D and 3D designs for kitchens and wardrobes, coordinating with production, and mentoring the design team. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in modular furniture design and a relevant Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in modular furniture or joinery design.
• Strong understanding of materials, fittings, and production methods.
• Previous experience managing a design team within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team in developing 2D and 3D designs.
• Review and approve design layouts, drawings, and specifications.
• Translate client briefs into manufacturable designs.
• Coordinate with Technical and Production departments for feasibility.
• Attend client meetings and site visits for requirements gathering.
• Drive innovation in modular systems and design concepts.
• Mentor and train the design team for creativity and efficiency.
• Ensure design documentation aligns with production standards.
