Job Description & Summary

Our Healthcare Strategy team offers strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders — healthcare operators, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences organizations, as well as private equity houses, family offices, major banks, funds, and companies undertaking mergers, acquisitions, or investment opportunities. We deliver deep strategic, commercial, and operational insights to help clients think through investment/divestment decisions about businesses. We advise on critical operational and transformational challenges, evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, and deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’s commercial and operational outlook. Our main focus is to deliver top strategy‑led solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

As a PLS Strategy Senior Manager you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, which may include multiple projects at a time, while leading a team of 6–8 consultants.
  • Work with existing operators and private‑equity platforms to define their investment agenda (e.g., new market entries, market strategies for new investments, capital allocation).
  • Conduct market assessments and financial feasibilities on new investments.
  • Perform commercial and vendor due diligence.
  • Participate in strategy and operations engagements for our clients.
  • Frame and understand key client issues, client processes, and mandates; define realistic expectations for the client team and PwC.
  • Manage the client relationship on a day‑to‑day basis and coordinate with other stakeholders.
  • Structure and ensure the development of written reports that encompass the relevant analysis findings and recommendations.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure that the scope of work is clearly defined.
  • Manage project budgets, report on project costs, and handle payment collection.
  • Support the business development agenda within the focused industry, leading pitches and proposal work.
  • Contribute to the wider business unit through knowledge sharing, recruitment, mentoring, training, and other activities.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a strategy consulting firm.
  • Hands‑on experience with healthcare enterprises or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven record of success in commercial due diligence or corporate strategy roles.
  • Hands‑on experience assisting clients in strategic planning and business reviews, growth and market entry, international expansion, and market opportunity sizing.
  • Significant understanding of mergers, integrations, spin‑offs, and/or divestiture transactions, including option analyses and recommendations.
  • Motivated to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Ability to deliver significant business results that reflect strategic and creative thinking and individual initiative.
  • Confident in managing multi‑resource engagements: creating work plans, managing day‑to‑day execution, removing roadblocks proactively, asking for help, and communicating effectively up/down and laterally.
  • Comfortable providing direction, coaching, and guidance to junior resources.
  • Excellent writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting capabilities for all levels of audiences.
  • Willingness to multitask and balance time effectively.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics and big data is preferred.
  • Arabic speaking considered a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel 20% of the time, including frequent overnight stays if required.
