Title: Credit Risk Analyst (UAEN)

Location: Dubai

About the Client

Our client, a prominent financial institution in Dubai, is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join their Risk Management team. This role focuses on evaluating credit proposals, monitoring portfolio risk, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze credit proposals, assessing financials, repayment capacity, and collateral adequacy.
  • Conduct due diligence and creditworthiness assessments for individuals and corporate clients.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports with recommendations.
  • Assign risk ratings using internal scoring models and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.
  • Support Credit Committee preparations and approvals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and suggest risk mitigation measures.
  • Prepare regular credit risk reports, dashboards, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Ensure adherence to Central Bank regulations and assist with ICAAP, IFRS9, and stress testing data.
  • Contribute to credit policy reviews and development of risk models and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and business teams to ensure quality credit submissions and compliance.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 1–5 years’ experience in Credit Risk or Corporate Credit Analysis – fresh graduates with strong academics may be considered.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
  • Good understanding of financial statements, ratios, and cash flow analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with risk systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IFRS9, risk rating models, and credit regulations preferred.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
