Job description
Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical services for both children and adults. The role involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and supporting individuals across all developmental stages—from early childhood to adulthood and elderly populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments, history taking, and mental status examinations for children and adults, followed by comprehensive treatment and management planning.
  • Assess and manage a wide range of clinical conditions including developmental disorders, ADHD, anxiety, epilepsy, autism, learning difficulties (mild/moderate/severe), sensory processing disorders, behavioral and emotional difficulties, developmental delays, genetic disorders, cognitive impairment, grief and adjustment issues, health anxiety, phobias, personality disorders, and anxiety disorders.
  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions using multiple evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, MBT, mindfulness, family therapy, couple therapy, DMT, neurofeedback therapy, schema therapy, IPT, and systemic therapy.
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessments, including TVPS, Clinical Observations, DTVP-2, VMI, BOT, handwriting assessments, MAP, MABC, SPM, DAP, and Sensory Profile, ensuring accurate diagnostic formulation.
  • Provide clear guidance, updates, and counselling to parents, guardians, families, and significant others regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Build strong therapeutic rapport with patients and apply appropriate techniques to help them develop coping skills, resolve difficulties, and achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Prepare detailed psychological assessment reports and maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation in compliance with regulations and service standards.
  • Contribute to developing clinical pathways, offer training, and provide supervision or guidance within specialised therapeutic areas when required.
  • Stay updated with current clinical practices by participating in CPD activities, including advanced training in specialized topics such as eating disorders.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, attend required meetings, supervision sessions, and participate in ongoing training.
  • Refer patients to other healthcare professionals when needed and coordinate care as part of an integrated health management approach.
  • Fulfil other related duties as assigned to support high-quality clinical service delivery.
Knowledge / Education / Skills
  1. 2 years’ Psychology experience.
  2. A bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from an accredited university.
  3. DOH License / Eligibility Letter holder
  4. A master’s degree in clinical psychology or a master’s degree in a specific branch of counselling.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers; Arabic & English
  6. Good computer proficiency (eg. MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  7. Certified in ADOS, Stanford Binet (5th Ed.), and Wechsler Achievement Tests
  8. Training in CBT, ACT for Adolescence, Low-Intensity CBT, EMDR, and IPT
  9. Skilled in assessing Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
  10. Training in Eating Disorders (mild/moderate/severe)
  11. Certified in MBSR/MBCT mindfulness programs
  12. Trained in Gottman Couples Therapy
  13. Other relevant clinical certifications
