Civil Technical Engineer – RATLS Contracting LLC, United Arab Emirates

Experience: 4-6 years UAE-based.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review IFC drawings and project specifications to develop detailed technical documentation.
  • Prepare shop drawings for civil works, including blockwork finishes and architectural details.
  • Coordinate with structural and architectural teams for design validation and resolving conflicts.
  • Review and prepare PQDs, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Provide technical support to site teams, ensuring adherence to design intent and regulations.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and assist in QA/QC processes.
  • Support value engineering proposals and identify cost‑effective construction solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant authority guidelines (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DMCC, etc.).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry.
  • Proficient in UAE building codes, standards, and authority approval processes.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
  • Experience with steel structures and finishing works.
  • Excellent at preparing shop drawings, submittals, and coordinating construction workflows.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Arabic is a plus.
  • Available to join immediately or on short notice.
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
  • Knowledge of structural design principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, STAAD Pro, or equivalent.
