Job summary

A leading consultancy firm is looking for a Senior Risk Officer based in Umm Al Quwain. The successful candidate will develop and maintain credit risk models and perform analysis to support risk assessments. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4 to 6 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the Banking sector. Knowledge of IFRS-9 and programming skills in Python are preferred. Face-to-face interviews are required for this role.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Develop and maintain IFRS and MIS related to credit risk models.
  • Perform variance, scenario, and peer analysis to support provisioning and risk assessment.
  • Assist with audits, validations, and regulatory reviews related to credit risk models.
  • Conduct market research and provide updates & key changes on both local and world’s economy.
  • Prepare credit risk and IFRS-related reports for senior management, risk committees, and regulators.
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of risk management experience in the Risk Consultancy or Banking industry.
  • Knowledge of IFRS-9, credit risk modelling, and regulatory reporting.
  • Basic understanding of Python/Programming Language is preferred.
  • Applicants should be available for face-to-face interviews in the location mentioned above.
