Job summary

Overview

Our client is a French group specializing in safety, compliance, and quality control in the construction sector.

As part of its international development, we are looking for :

Permanent position based In Dubai (Business Bay Tower)

The CFO will handle the Dubai office (14 people) + the Abu Dhabi office (20 people).

For this role, you already work with IFRS, speak fluent English + Arabic (French is a plus), you have already dealt with client contracts & negotiations and you have an experience of accountant at the beginning of your career.

Responsibilities
  • The CFO is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Group's finances in the UAE. He oversees accounting, budgeting, tax and treasury activities, while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the Management's strategic decisions.
  • He will subsequently also take over responsibility for the Group's activities in Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region.
  • Develop and implement the Group's overall financial strategy in the UAE.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly reporting to the Group, financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage relationships with local and Group banks and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with local (IFRS, VAT UAE) and international standards,
  • Assess financial risks and propose mitigation measures,
  • Participate in investment and financing decisions,
  • Actively participate in contract negotiations with customers and suppliers (visit the clients)
  • Manage, supervise and develop the finance team,
  • Implement a monthly review file to be shared with Head Office teams,
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial objectives,
Required profile
  • Higher degree in finance, accounting or management (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in financial management, ideally in an international environment, including 3-5 years in Dubai
  • Proficiency in IFRS standards and UAE tax regulations,
  • Fluent English and Arabic (French is a plus),
  • Excellent leadership, communication and strategic analysis skills,
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural and dynamic environment,
  • Sensitivity to Gulf business practices and local compliance requirements.
