Our Expectations From the Role

• Ensure the optimum condition and appearance of all glass & wooden interior design elements, and FF&E finishes by following the preventive maintenance programme.
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Repair, maintain, and construct wood structures such as partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items throughout the property.
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, parquet/laminate floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Maintain FF&E catalog and finishes/color directories.
• Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
• Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool.
• Apply shock‑absorbing, sound‑deadening and decorative paneling to ceilings and walls.
• Prioritise non‑guest repair requests.
• Ensure that all flammable materials are stored in OSHA approved containment devices.
• Carry all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) in order to maintain preparedness to carry out work tasks at all times.
• Respond and attend to guest repair requests, as assigned.
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
• Comply with hotel and corporate LSOPs and SOPs.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Attend all safety and fire training and adhere to safety instructions at work to prevent any accidents.
• Document all work performed and any spare parts used.
• Serve as an active member of the hotel emergency response team.
• Carry out any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor.
• Take an active role in the TQM process.
• Ensure that you maintain a high level of hospitality and guest concern. Practice at all times “Empowerment” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest.
• Accident prevention and safety to be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and to strive to work in an accident‑free manner and to create a safe working environment for yourself and for others.
• Maintain high standards of GSS, ESS and brand standards for public areas & meeting spaces.
• Carry out other job assignments given by DOE or designate, as business demands.
