Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Captive team at Marsh. This role will be based in UAE‑Dubai. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

The Captive Manager will be responsible for the effective management and oversight of captive insurance programs and captive operations. Leveraging underwriting expertise, this role focuses on reviewing risk analyses, advising clients on complex risk scenarios, overseeing insurance transactions, and ensuring the smooth administration of captive insurance policies and related documentation. This position excludes financial statement preparation but emphasizes client advisory, risk management, and operational oversight within captive insurance structures.

We will count on you to :

• Review and analyze risk assessments, developing and presenting innovative insurance solutions tailored to client needs and complex risk situations within captive programs.
• Advise clients on moderately complex risks related to captive insurance and oversee insurance transactions to optimize coverage and risk retention strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns related to captive insurance programs, resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
• Oversee the timely production and accuracy of all account and program documentation, including policy documents, endorsements, and renewals, ensuring compliance with captive operational standards.
• Monitor and manage captive insurance operations, including policy administration, claims coordination, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by supporting client acquisition efforts and expanding captive insurance program offerings.
• Independently manage assignments related to captive insurance programs and collaborate with brokers or managers on larger or more complex client engagements.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, clients, and internal colleagues to deliver comprehensive and effective captive insurance solutions.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge of insurance coverage lines, market conditions, and specialized products relevant to captive insurance to better serve client needs.
• Review and verify contract documents, bond forms, and banking terms and conditions related to captive insurance transactions.

What you need to have :

• Proven underwriting experience with a strong understanding of insurance structures and operations.
• Solid knowledge of risk analysis, insurance policy documentation, and client advisory within the insurance space.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and operational efficiency.
• Strong organizational skills to oversee captive program documentation and compliance.
• Familiarity with insurance markets, coverage lines, and regulatory environments affecting captive insurance.

Prior experience with captive insurance is a plus.
