Job description
Overview

Expand Prowa’s pipeline across MENA energy and adjacent sectors. Research markets, craft proposals, coordinate inputs across teams, and support negotiations with clean documentation from first contact to close.

The Role

You will help build opportunities connected to oil and gas and adjacent sectors, report to the Business Development Manager, and work closely with Finance, Legal, Technical, and Operations. Expect to handle sensitive information, communicate clearly, work to outcomes, and travel when required.

What you will do
  • Identify and qualify opportunities across refinery, petrochemical, trading, EPC, and services, with a primary focus on MENA, and maintain professional communication with clients and partners.
  • Prepare business plans, proposals, presentations, and investment briefs with clear writing; contribute to feasibility and economic assessments under senior guidance.
  • Maintain CRM pipelines, client records, data rooms, and version-controlled project documentation.
  • Prepare negotiation materials, meeting notes, and action trackers, then drive timely follow-ups; coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and remove blockers.
  • Produce research notes, weekly briefs, and executive-ready slide decks; use productivity and AI tools to improve research, drafting, and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams to hit milestones on proposals and submissions, and take on additional tasks assigned by the Senior Business Development Specialist as priorities require.
What you bring

Must-have

  • 2 to 5 years in business development, market analysis, sales, or related commercial roles in oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, or trading; experience with Iraq or wider MENA is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree; discipline flexible.
  • Strong MS Office skills and solid research ability to synthesize data into crisp insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in preparing proposals, reports, and presentations, with comfort using CRM tools.
  • High integrity, concise communication, sound judgment on when to ask and escalate, adaptability under shifting priorities, and results focus with flexibility on hours.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to Iraq and other project locations.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with refinery and petrochemical products, supply chains, and sector dynamics.
  • Pragmatic use of AI tools to enhance speed and quality without compromising accuracy.
  • Arabic language skills.
