Part of Apex Invest department, the Apex Investment Advisory division (IA) provides a full range of advisory and investment consulting services including independent investment advice, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, investment and operational due diligence, ongoing portfolio monitoring, in addition to bespoke consulting advice and analytics. Apex Investment Advisory service is recognised as a partner of trust for renowned institutional investors, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, Private Banks, and Endowments.

About the Job

Capitalising on material successes in the European market, Apex is seeking to expand its IA client base and significantly grow its footprint with institutional investors, banks, and family offices globally, particularly in the Middle East region. Reporting to the Regional Head of Sales with a dual reporting line into the Group Head of Investment Advisory, the role will be global in nature with a core focus on the Middle East region. Working closely with the Apex senior management team, the ideal candidate will be a recognised industry leader able to represent Apex externally and internally. The ideal candidate will have an existing allocator network across the Middle East and successful experience in Investment Advisory working with institutional investors, family offices, and/or raising capital for private market funds.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective business development plans assuring Apex IA sustainable growth in the Middle East region;
  • Lead and execute Apex IA regional sales strategy;
  • Work closely with Marketing and the Group Head of Investment Advisory to position Apex knowledge and capabilities;
  • Build effective relationships with all appropriate allocators, influencers, and professional associations to generate and close leads;
  • Provide prospect and market feedback back into the business enabling this intelligence to be used to generate relevant product capabilities where relevant;
  • Keep track and respond to relevant Tenders/RFPs;
Your Skills, Expertise, and Experience Should Include
  • 7-10 years of relevant institutional sales experience;
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry with an existing allocator network;
  • Experience working in investment consulting or in a sales/CRM role at a private markets GP or experience in raising capital for either Private Equity, Hedge funds, Private Credit, Infrastructure, or Real Estate funds beneficial;
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines;
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree preferred;
