Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a skilled Structural Drafter to produce and manage high-quality drawings for steel and concrete bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in structural drafting, with significant time spent on bridge works. Responsibilities include developing design drawings, preparing reinforcement details, and leading submission processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with relevant design codes are essential. This is a full-time position and does not allow remote work.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in structural drafting, with at least 5 years in bridge works.
• Experience in temporary works design.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, BS, Eurocode, or local bridge design codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design/shop/as-built drawings for bridge components.
• Create reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules.
• Prepare drawings for temporary systems.
• Lead submission packages to consultants/authorities.
• Conduct internal checks to maintain drawing accuracy.

Proficiency in Civil 3D

Proficiency in MicroStation

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology
