Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with guests and provide exceptional service while following the assigned standards operating procedures.
  • Ensure to possess a high standard of personal appearance and grooming at all times.
  • Collaborate well with other team members working other functions of the restaurant
  • Prepare and serve a selection of cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverages from the menu while ensuring to follow the established recipes.
  • Excellent knowledge of the wine, cocktail and beverage menu
  • Having excellent knowledge about the food menu on offer while developing a complete working knowledge of the menus, ingredients and information for the restaurant and resort.
  • Ensure to keep the bar organized, clean and monitoring established par levels while adjusting them as required for all beverages, glassware and other equipment.
  • Maintain inventory, restock supplies and ingredients.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
  • Assist in development of new cocktail and beverage menus.
  • To establish a rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships.
  • To maintain the upkeep of all the beverage menus and checking the menus prior and during the closing of the bar.
  • Assist the team of servers during the service, whenever there is a need to provide support at any time.
  • Maintaining welcoming and service efficient environment
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Outlet Manager, Director of Food and Beverage
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ previous experience as a bartender in a luxury resort/ hotel/ upscale restaurant or similar hospitality environment
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Previous employment experience in a similar position will be advantageous
  • Requires the ability to operate restaurant operating systems ( POS )
  • Knowledge of bar equipment and safety regulations.
  • Requires to be able to read, write and speak in English fluently, bilingual is an advantage
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be a team player
