Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Bar Manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the bar, ensuring standards are met according to the hotel's guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance customer satisfaction through friendly, attentive service, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Seat customers and advise on cocktail and beverage choices.
  • Take customer orders and respond appropriately to requests.
  • Build trusting relationships by providing reliable advice.
  • Coordinate with the F&B Manager to handle complaints and feedback.
  • Organize production, distribution, and storage according to infrastructure and equipment.
  • Supervise stock rotations and identify needs for replenishment.
  • Ensure beverages meet hygiene standards and are served promptly.
  • Supervise bar setup, menu presentation, pricing, and promotional events to boost revenue.
  • Apply hotel and brand standards and audit procedures.
  • Coordinate with nearby departments like restaurant and front office.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of equipment, adhering to hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and signal technical needs.
  • Comply with beverage sale legislation.
  • Develop working methods aligned with brand philosophy.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and assessment of staff with the F&B Manager.
  • Conduct technical and sales training, supporting career development.
  • Ensure staff appearance and uniforms meet brand standards.
  • Prepare work schedules based on activity forecasts.
  • Engage the team in achieving departmental and hotel targets.
  • Manage the bar staff team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Organize operations and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws.

Additional responsibilities include promoting hotel services, increasing sales through creative approaches, managing the bar atmosphere, monitoring competition, and controlling costs and stock.

Financial responsibilities involve helping prepare the annual budget, analyzing results, managing stocks, and ensuring equipment functionality.

Ensure adherence to HACCP hygiene regulations, hotel security policies, and environmental commitments.
