Job Purpose
Assists the Engineer in performing Airframe and Engine Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements. Performs and records work according to required standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Reviews assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand the work, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting.
- Prepares and performs scheduled aircraft maintenance according to task cards, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are used as instructed.
- Conducts aircraft tests and inspections to identify and record defects or damages following approved procedures.
- Performs repairs, component replacements, and tests as per task cards, data, procedures, and directions from the Engineer-in-Charge.
- Ensures proper tooling/equipment is used from stores and returned in good condition after work.
- Regularly reports task status to the Engineer-in-Charge and alerts about any issues with aircraft condition or work execution.
- Maintains high standards of housekeeping during all tasks.
- Manages safety by following mandatory precautions before and during maintenance work.
- Uses proper GSE and protective equipment to ensure safety for self and others.
- Considers human factors, follows interruption procedures, and ensures adequate access and lighting during maintenance and inspections.
- Provides support and helpful information to team members and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance.
- Represents Air Arabia professionally, demonstrating technical competence to other personnel and customers.
- Maintains awareness of maintenance costs, minimizing waste and avoiding damage or repeat work.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Qualified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficient in English for technical communication.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.
Work Experience
External applicants- At least 2 years of maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
- Solid understanding of Airframe and Engine Maintenance theory and practice.
