Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Parts Purchaser to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and a strong understanding of both new and used parts markets, particularly in the UAE (Sajja and Sharjah Industrial Markets). This role is critical to optimizing our vehicle turnaround time and reducing reliance on rental cars.

The Automotive Parts Purchaser will be responsible for efficiently sourcing and procuring the best quality parts at the most competitive prices for all pending vehicles. This position reports directly to Workshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and procure necessary automotive parts (new and used) for all pending vehicle repairs, ensuring optimal quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Market Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge of Sajja markets and Sharjah Industrial Markets to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing.
  • Cost Optimization: Continuously seek out the best deals and options to minimize parts expenditure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Quality Assessment: Utilize in-depth mechanical knowledge to accurately judge the condition and suitability of parts, especially for used components.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of parts to facilitate prompt vehicle repairs and reduce vehicle downtime.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to Workshop Manager on parts availability, pricing, and procurement status.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers.


Qualifications:

  • Proven in-depth knowledge of automotive mechanical work and vehicle systems.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the automotive parts market in the UAE, specifically Sajja and Sharjah Industrial Markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the quality and value of both new and used automotive parts.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing cost-effective purchases.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer literacy is required.
  • Proficiency in Hindi and English.
  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • UAE Valid Driving License is a must.
