Job description

Urgently required for a reputed automobile spare parts company based in Jebel Ali, Dubai, dealing in European trucks and trailer parts. We are seeking a male Senior Spare Parts Salesman who is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, with extensive experience in selling heavy vehicle spare parts.

**Duties include:**
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory aligned with the needs of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and retail customers.
  • Establish pricing parameters for each customer category to generate satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Set individual parts inventory levels for maximum turnover and monitor inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Ensure proper tagging of parts for full credit recovery from the factory.
  • Supervise stock ordering procedures and enforce policies on special parts ordering.
  • Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to meet profit goals.
  • Develop and manage wholesale parts programs to maximize profit.
  • Provide high-quality service to both external and internal customers.
  • Coordinate with service and body shop managers for timely internal parts turnaround.
  • Attend management meetings and hold weekly department meetings.
  • Optimize departmental operations and storage layout for maximum efficiency.
  • Assist staff technically and monitor payroll records.
  • Ensure prompt paperwork flow, oversee shipping and receiving, and monitor daily reports like DOE, DOC, and sales productivity.
  • Develop and track lost sales reports and direct outside sales efforts, including telemarketing and promotions.
  • Leverage manufacturer co-op advertising and develop customer satisfaction guidelines.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure proper accounting of dealership purchases.
  • Assist in collecting overdue accounts and supervise cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and maintain a professional appearance.
