Responsibilities:

• Understand and interpret AtkinsRalis rights and responsibilities across its UAE projects.
• Support Project Directors in delivering projects according to contractual and financial objectives, including profit margins.
• Coordinate commercial appointments across all project parties, including other AtkinsRalis sectors and sub-consultants.
• Develop and manage commercial administration, monitoring, and change control systems, including risk and variation registers.
• Enhance commercial understanding within project teams in UAE.
• Support commercial staff on live projects.
• Handle escalation and reporting of claims against AtkinsRalis Professional Indemnity insurance.
• Conduct commercial reviews and audits of projects.
• Ensure adherence to internal Business Management System and other processes.
• Monitor compliance with Service Delivery processes during project execution.
• Review financial reports, risk registers, and project contingencies monthly.
• Improve risk management to convert contingencies into margins.
• Coordinate with finance on debt management to enhance profitability.
• Guide project teams on billing practices aligned with contractual terms.
• Provide early risk warnings to safeguard project financial health.

Requirements:

• BEng/BSc in engineering or Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 15-20 years of consulting experience, including cost planning and benchmarking.
• At least 10 years of experience in UAE/GCC.
• MRICS qualification is mandatory.
• Experience as a Tier 1 consultant.
• Proven team management skills.
• Strong client relationship and key account management skills.
• Excellent contacts within Abu Dhabi government.
• Experience with contracts and sub-contracts review and evaluation.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle design and site operations.
• Financial modeling, pricing proposals, and delay claim experience.
• Experience managing variations and claims on major design-build projects.

Negotiation Skills:

• Risk management expertise.
• Ability to develop successful client relationships.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with design and build projects, especially on the contractor side.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary design and engineering processes.
