Position Summary

The Assistant Procurement Manager will play a key role in driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term sourcing strategies across assigned categories. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process—from supplier identification and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring—while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, sustainability goals, and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business needs, market trends, and sustainability objectives
  • Conduct comprehensive spend analysis, supply market research, and benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities
  • Lead RFQs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring fair competition and adherence to company procurement policies
  • Establish long-term supplier partnerships to drive innovation, value creation, and supply assurance
Supplier Relationship Management
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Negotiate commercial terms and long-term contracts to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and ensure continuity of supply
  • Implement supplier scorecards and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement
Financial & Risk Management
  • Deliver measurable savings through strategic negotiations, cost breakdown analysis, and value engineering initiatives
  • Monitor commodity price trends, exchange rates, and logistics costs to inform sourcing decisions
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with internal controls
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance teams to align procurement plans with operational goals
  • Support new product development (NPD) projects by sourcing materials that meet technical and sustainability requirements
  • Participate in cross-functional cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in FMCG / Manufacturing / Packaging / Food & Beverage
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in category management, supplier development, and cost optimization
  • Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel
