Job summary

A healthcare organization in Dubai seeks a Nurse with a minimum 18 Months Diploma and at least 2 years of recent clinical experience. The role involves observing patient behavior, assisting in therapy sessions, and ensuring patient safety. Eligible candidates must be able to work under the direction of a registered nurse and manage mental health challenges effectively. Immediate joining is required.

Role Specific Skills
  • To observe, assess and report any changes in patient's behavior for timely interventions.
  • Maintain therapeutic relationships and empathetic approach to patients and relatives and refer to a registered nurse for any question they may have in the patient condition or any suggestions that they may wish to raise.
  • To identify and report patients who are at risk of harming themselves or others and maintain patient's safety.
  • To understand & manage patients with the specific symptoms of mental illness, de‑escalating stressful situations and helping patients overcome challenges.
  • To assist patients to develop social skills.
  • To prepares and participate in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals to patients and families.
  • To cooperate with and maintain a good relationship within mental health specialty staff to maximize patient care.
  • To ensure patient, staff and environmental safety by periodic check of environment/ patient belongings as per hospital policy.
  • To respect and maintain the confidentiality and dignity of the patient in relation to all hospital activities.
  • To ensure a process of continuous in‑service education, in their clinical area & maintain unit specific competency in managing aggression, pre & post ECT management.
  • To carry out assigned task in delivering and supporting direct patient care under direction of a registered nurse to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient's care.
  • To participate in orientation, training, development in relation to mental health nursing.

  • Minimum 18 Months Diploma in Nursing/ Midwifery

  • 2 years recent clinical experience NB.
  • Exception UAE National : No experience required.
