Assistant Chief Engineer - LXR Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi (Pre-Opening)

Nestled along the serene mangrove waterfront, LXR Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi will soon open its doors as part of Hilton’s luxury independent collection. This pre-opening journey offers a rare opportunity to join an iconic property from the ground up, helping to shape its service culture, technical readiness, and operational excellence.

What will I be doing?

As Assistant Chief Engineer, you will support the Director of Engineering in leading the Engineering & Maintenance function of the hotel, ensuring the property operates at the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and efficiency. You will be instrumental in the pre-opening phase, establishing processes, setting up technical systems, and preparing the team for a successful launch.

Your key responsibilities

• Assisting in managing all engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, fire & life safety, sustainability, and energy conservation.
• Supporting the Chief Engineer in the planning and execution of pre-opening tasks, handover from contractors, and operational readiness.
• Supervising and developing a skilled team of engineers and technicians, ensuring training and motivation in line with Hilton and LXR luxury standards.
• Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted guest experiences.
• Monitoring energy and sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with Hilton’s LightStay and local regulatory requirements.
• Supporting budget planning, cost control, and contractor management for technical services.
