Responsibilities
- As an Assembler - Mechanical, you will be responsible for: Responsible for working with Operations team to achieve organizational goals.
- Responsible for Assembly and testing of various valves, including but not limited to control valves, safety relief valves, valve positioners, transmitters, valve accessories and other software products etc.
- Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, reassembly and testing of valves at Jebel Ali facilities and follow Data sheets, Pick List/Bill Of Material, Schematics and documented procedures in accordance with BH Quality and ASME Board standards that apply to the job.
- Responsible for preparing work orders, Test Reports, service reports and other quality documents etc.
- Communicate timely updates to Shop Planner and Quality team to ensure on-time and successful completion of all assigned jobs.
- Works safely and without injury; participates in team meetings and programs as required (Audits, Safety training, 5S, Lifting techniques, troubleshooting, etc.) Report workplace HSE concerns / potentially unsafe conditions if any.
- Responsible for Maintenance of the shop tools & equipment to ensure proper working order and arrange for maintenance whenever if required.
- Responsible for Cross-train technicians in the shop. Poses the ability to promote a positive atmosphere and encourage teamwork in the workplace.
- Responsible for assigning jobs to technicians, planning consumables and tools requirements, time sheet updates, effective employees Utilization, process planning and Estimations.
- Must be willing to work extra hours and weekends as required to meet delivery commitments and business deadlines.
- Works closely with other stakeholders like, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Services, customer care and safety coordinator to ensure 100% on time delivery and compliance with all quality and safety requirements & regulations.
Qualifications
- Have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED) with at least 10 years of experience in Valve industries.
- Be able to work independently in challenging and demanding environment.
- Have good Technical skills, professional attitude and team work
- Have experience in Masoneilan and consolidated products.
- Have a well-rounded knowledge of valve assembly techniques, pressure testing, instrument calibration, standards and shop tools & equipment.
- Have knowledge & Experience in Industrial Valves standards like ASME, API, ANSI, FCI, etc.
- Must have knowledge of Quality management System and Health & Safety Environment.
Working conditions
- This position is performed in a work shop environment.
- May be exposed to loud operating equipments, heavy noise, Pressure release, dirt, grease, grime, chemicals, heavy lifting etc.
