Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Dubai seeks a Structural Draftsman to prepare detailed structural drawings and coordinate with various stakeholders. Candidates must have a diploma in engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD along with experience in structural drafting. Responsibilities include creating General Arrangement drawings, rebar detailing, and ensuring code compliance for construction documentation. Ideal candidates will demonstrate accuracy and the ability to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

Job description

The main requirements for structural draftsman include:

1. Diploma or equivalent Degree in Engineering.
2. The candidate should have good experience in AutoCAD.
3. A complete study of the project, understanding the technical documents, engineer/client requirements, and the relevant code.
4. The role includes the preparation of Structural General Arrangement drawings using the software.
5. Preparation of 2D - Rebar Detailing Drawings & Checking for structural members like Pile, Pile Cap, Column, Basement Slab, Beams, Basement Raft Slab, Basement Floor Slab, Basement Intermediate Slab, Basement Roof Slab, Basement Staircase, Using Auto CAD & Dfma Software.
6. Making Quantities and Checking of Structural Basement Members and Stations all above Structures.
7. Prepare shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) in accordance with BS.
8. Finalize detailed drawing for submission and construction issues · Coordinate Structural, Architectural, and MEP details to incorporate into builders' work drawings
9. Maintain the Register/Log of shop drawing submission and contractor shop drawing.
10. Monitor production and delivery status of Fabricated Reinforcement.

The main requirements for Architectural draftsman include:

1. Diploma in Engineering / Engineering Drawings.
2. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations and finishing drawings based on project requirements.
3. Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with standards.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic Revit Architecture (preferred).
5. Strong understanding of architectural detailing and finishing drawings.
6. Ability to work under deadlines and with minimal supervision.
