Overview

Accounts & Assets Management Section Head (UAE)

To enhance financial oversight for the department and related social sector entities by developing policies, monitoring asset management, and reviewing and submitting financial reports in accordance with international standards, while ensuring compliance with accounting controls and efficient financial risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Directly Reports To : Director of Financial Affairs
  • Direct Reports : employees of the Accounts and Assets Management Section
  • Supervise the development and updating of internal control policies aligned with international financial reporting standards.
  • Monitor financial management of assets including registration and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards.
  • Maintain and reconcile account records to ensure financial closure and reporting.
  • Review financial risk identification and severity and collaborate with relevant units to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review financial statements in accordance with international public sector accounting standards and applicable legislation.
  • Coordinate with auditors and disclose all required data as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Academic Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution; master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Certificates : IPSAS or IFRS
  • Professional Experience : Minimum of 7 years in a similar role, including 2 years in a supervisory position; strong experience in General Ledger and financial policy development preferred.
