Finance / Accounting Professional – Dubai

Freelance | Early-Stage | System Build & Operations

A client is seeking a hands‑on Finance / Accounting professional to support an early‑stage setup across two entities operating in the luxury serviced residences and hospitality space.

The businesses are already licensed and established. However, this role requires someone with the capacity to build the finance system from the ground up and carry that work forward into day‑to‑day operations.

The engagement will initially be on a freelance basis but may transition to full‑time employment depending on the business needs.

Scope of Role

• Build and implement the accounting system and carry it forward into ongoing operations
• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations
• Support integration of QuickBooks with internal systems being developed (tech‑savvy mindset required)
• Manage accounts and reporting across US and the Middle East entities
• Ensure UAE compliance requirements are met
• Support US financial reporting and tax coordination, working with external advisors
• Reflect transfer pricing mechanics into the accounts in line with approved policies
• Take ownership of any finance‑related matters that require attention in an early‑stage environment
• Work closely with founders to support practical financial needs

Candidate Profile

• 5–9 years of relevant accounting / finance experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with QuickBooks, including setup and implementation
• Proven exposure to US accounting and tax reporting
• Experience handling multi‑jurisdiction accounts (US + Middle East)
• Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts and how they are reflected in accounting
• Comfortable in start‑up or early‑stage environments
• Tech‑savvy and open to working with integrated systems
• Dubai-based

Engagement Structure

• The role will initially be engaged on a freelance basis
• Depending on performance, business needs, and mutual fit, there may be an opportunity to transition into full‑time employment
• The role may require visits to the office as needed
