Job description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a remote (work from home) basis. Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is a MUST. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and prior experience in a construction, interior fit-out, or technical services company.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records using Zoho Books (MUST)
• Record and reconcile sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries
• Manage UAE VAT compliance
  • VAT returns submission
  • Input & output VAT reconciliation
  • FTA compliance and documentation
• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Handle project-based accounting, including costing, retention, and variations
• Manage customer and supplier accounts, payments, and reconciliations
• Support audits and provide required financial documentation

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2–4 years accounting experience in the UAE
• Zoho Books experience is mandatory (applications without Zoho Books experience will not be considered)
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT & FTA regulations
• Previous experience in a construction / interior fit-out / technical services company is highly preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setup

Preferred Skills

• Experience with project costing, retention, and subcontractor accounting
• Familiarity with Zoho Projects / Zoho Inventory is an advantage
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
