Job summary

A financial services firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, professional certifications (CA, CMA, ACCA preferred), and at least 25 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE. Qualifications

• Minimum of 25 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Manage VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external consultants when required.
• Support management with financial analysis and MIS reporting.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books)

Strong knowledge of MS Excel
