Summer Swim Instructor: Teach Skills & Ensure Safety
Job summary
A local YMCA in Bartlesville is looking for a Swim Instructor to teach swimming lessons and ensure participant safety. Responsibilities include conducting lessons as per YMCA standards and documentation of participant progress. A strong emphasis on safety, as well as certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid are required. Candidates should be at least 16 years old, and bilingual abilities will be a plus. This position offers an opportunity to promote swimming as a lifetime sport in a supportive community environment.
Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age.
- Ability to promote swimming as a lifetime sport.
- Demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all members and participants.
- Conduct swimming instruction following YMCA curriculum.
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
