• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of field operations, logistics, or construction environments
• 5+ years supervising or managing dispersed crews
• Ability to develop schedules, capacity planning, allocate resources
• Strong communication skills and safety leadership
• Track record of accountability and safety culture
• Familiarity with material handling and field logistics practices (forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Competence with scheduling and reporting tools (MS Teams, Excel, scheduling software, ERP)

Position Summary: The Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and supporting all Field Operations execution. This role ensures safe, effective, and efficient execution while maintaining high standards of leadership, accountability, scheduling, and coordination across multiple local work sites. The Field Operations Manager will lead a team of supervisors, leads, and technicians, while coordinating the Field Operations process, and work to improve operational execution.

This leader will spend majority of their time in office-planning schedules, capacity, resource alignment, materials planning, and reviewing performance to plan while adjusting as necessary. The balance of time will be in the field- checking on crews, ensuring safety and performance, addressing issues, and interfacing with suppliers. Success in this role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to holding teams accountable for results.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Accountability

• Provide daily supervision, coaching, and accountability for direct reports and subordinates.
• Hold individuals accountable to attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards.
• Conduct performance feedback, coaching conversations, and corrective action when needed.
• Foster a positive, safety-focused culture across all teams.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Develop and manage weekly/monthly schedules for crews across multiple job sites.
• Adjust plans quickly based on weather, site readiness, or material availability.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure materials, parts, and equipment are staged and ready ahead of schedule.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to crews and stakeholders.

Safety Oversight

• Enforce safety procedures and accountability in all field activities.
• Participate in toolbox talks, reinforcing safe practices and hazard awareness.
• Ensure incidents, near misses, and safety observations are reported, addressed, and escalated as required.
• Regularly visit job sites to verify safe working conditions and proper PPE usage.

Quality & Operational Standards

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve non-conformance issues quickly.
• Ensure jobs are completed correctly the first time, minimizing rework and delays.
• Monitor productivity and implement improvements to drive efficiency.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide daily updates to the External Operations Manager on performance to plan, and site conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, capacity, utilization, and opportunities including RCCA activity.
• Serve as the primary link between Field Operations Supervisor(s), warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of work orders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in field operations, logistics, or construction environments, with direct exposure to physically demanding work.
• 5+ years of proven experience supervising or managing dispersed crews, including accountability for safety, attendance, and performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop schedules, capacity planning, allocate resources, and adjust plans quickly based on field conditions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear direction, conduct safety talks, and report effectively to leadership.
• Track record of holding individuals accountable while building a positive, safety-first team culture.
• Strong familiarity with material handling and field logistics practices (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, rigging), with the ability to perform spot checks, ensure safe and proper use, and maintain credibility with crews without daily operation.
• Competence with scheduling and reporting tools (e.g., MS Teams, Excel, scheduling software, or ERP systems).
