Job summary

Prudential Financial is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to serve as a LT Disability technical expert and consult with the team. You will guide claim professionals, provide actionable feedback, and promote high‑quality outcomes while ensuring ownership remains with the claim professional.

You will analyze complex claims, interpret policy provisions, and support training and development of the team. A collaborative, client‑focused mindset is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of LT disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of LT disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Proven ability to analyze complex or high‑risk claim scenarios.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and giving actionable feedback.
• Ability to interpret claim data and trends for risk and quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert to Team Lead and professionals.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, and eligibility.
• Coach and strengthen critical thinking and claim management practices.
• Provide timely feedback to improve technical capability and decisions.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor claim block health with Team Lead and prioritize actions.
• Support development and delivery of technical training for claim professionals.
• Consult on high‑risk or complex claims with recommended approaches.
