Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services seeks a Medical Support Assistant for the Eureka VA Outpatient Clinic, on-site. The role centers on front-desk scheduling, phone triage, and chart maintenance in CPRS, aligned with VHA directives and VA safety policies.

The candidate will work with the Lead Scheduler, ensure timely patient communications, and uphold professional standards while supporting quality improvement initiatives within SF VA Health System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months clerical and scheduling experience preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word; ability to learn healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle on-site scheduling and front desk duties at the Eureka VA clinic.
• Field scheduling requests by phone and manage CPRS chart updates.
• Coordinate with Lead Scheduler to ensure timely patient communications.
• Maintain professional VA representation and assist in quality improvement.
• Provide excellent patient and staff customer service and support.
