Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a Medical Support Assistant for on-site work at the Veterans Affairs Behavioral Health Clinic in Oakland, CA.

The MSA handles front desk scheduling, answers calls, and coordinates with the Lead Scheduler to ensure timely patient communications and accuracy in CPRS charts, while adhering to VA directives and safety standards. Strong English, computer and medical terminology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months clerical experience and 6 months experience with scheduling software.
• Must speak/read/write English fluently.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word; able to navigate medical computer systems.

Responsabilités

• Schedule appointments and answer phone calls in a timely manner according to VA directives.
• Coordinate with Lead Scheduler to ensure timely and accurate patient communications.
• Maintain professional, positive representation of VA and the scheduling team.
• Support quality improvement to align with performance measures and compliance standards.
• Provide safe, considerate customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
