Advocate Health is seeking a full-time inpatient coder with 7+ years of experience to perform complex coding using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS. The role supports coding across cardiology, neurology, and oncology service lines and works within a multi-disciplinary CDI and Quality framework.

The position offers a 40-hour work week, standard Monday–Friday schedule, remote-work eligibility within approved states, and certification requirements including AAPC or AHIMA.

Formación

• Advanced proficiency of ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Experience in inpatient coding in acute care settings.
• Knowledge of Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Adhere to department policies to ensure efficient work processes.
• Code high-dollar and long-stay cases for all patient types.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to ensure DRG accuracy.
