Qualifications

• Coding Certification issued by AAPC or AHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure correct code selection following Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.
• Code high-dollar and long length of stay cases for all patient types.
• Maintain continuing education and stay updated on CPT and ICD guidelines.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to reconcile Medicare DRGs.
• Participate in payer audits and coding-related meetings.
• Meet quality (95%+) and productivity (100%) standards.
