Job summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide advanced technical leadership across diagnostic solutions. You will troubleshoot, install, calibrate, and repair instruments, maximize uptime, and mentor junior team members.

The role is remote within the assigned territory, with up to 90% travel. A strong background in electromechanical systems and continuous improvement is required to support customers and improve field performance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 6+ years of field service, technical, biomedical, or related hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Advanced experience diagnosing and repairing complex medical device, laboratory, or instrumentation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges and guide others.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, repair activities, and escalations.
• Leverage data and root cause analysis to improve uptime, service quality, and field performance.
• Mentor Field Service Engineers and collaborate with product teams to implement improvements.
