Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Leica diagnostic solutions across the territory. This role is remote within the assigned territory with up to 90% travel.

You will maximize instrument uptime, drive optimal performance, and support service excellence by resolving complex issues and collaborating with regional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 3+ years of field service, technical, biomedical, military, or related hands-on troubleshooting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, laboratory, medical device, or instrumentation systems.
• Ability to work independently across customer sites, manage competing priorities, communicate technical information effectively, and drive customer satisfaction, instrument performance, and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Leica Biosystems diagnostic solutions, applying advanced technical expertise to resolve complex customer and instrument challenges.
• Manage service execution within the assigned territory, prioritizing customer needs, identifying root causes, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring optimal instrument performance, customer uptime, and compliance with Leica Biosystems quality standards.
• Serve as a technical resource to customers and less experienced Field Service Engineers by supporting escalations, sharing expertise, identifying recurring issues and trends, and partnering with technical support, applications, commercial, and service leadership to implement sustainable solutions and improve customer outcomes.
