Job summary
DLB Associates is seeking a Power Engineer – Energy Storage to lead engineering delivery for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), microgrid, and IBR interconnections across utility and industrial markets. The role blends hands-on engineering with client-facing responsibilities and supports energy storage practice growth.
The candidate will work independently on day-to-day tasks, coordinate with project teams, and ensure design and safety standards, with opportunities to influence technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- PE license in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5+ years energy storage or power systems engineering experience.
- Experience supporting medium- to high-voltage BESS, microgrid projects.
- Hands-on protective relay experience (SEL or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and engineer BESS, microgrid, and IBR interconnections.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and client interfaces.
- Prepare project design and construction documents.
- Support project delivery as engineer of record.
- Develop and apply energy storage engineering standards.
