Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years experience in BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expert in BESS design, integration, and optimization incl. BMS, inverters, and interconnection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of BESS control strategies and optimization software.
• Experience with grid operations and relevant standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide technical direction to teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS, ensuring compliance with contracts and AHJ requirements.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and sizing analyses for optimal configurations.
• Collaborate with engineering scopes including electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV.
• Manage Engineers of Record and third-party partners for clear scope and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJs; support procurement with specs and drawings.
• Provide testing, validation, commissioning, energization, and synchronization support.
• Mentor junior engineers; stay current with industry trends and safety standards.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations, and technical consultations.
