As a Backend Engineer at Aizen, you’ll be at the core of building and optimizing the infrastructure that powers our end‑to‑end AI platform. You’ll develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines that enable seamless AI deployment and real‑time inference. • Backend & API Development – Design and optimize scalable backend services and high‑performance APIs to support real‑time AI applications, model inference, and data orchestration.

• Data Processing & Infrastructure – Build and optimize large‑scale data pipelines, ETL processes, and storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration between AI workflows and backend systems.

• System Performance & Reliability – Implement monitoring, logging, and incident response workflows, ensuring high availability, low latency, and backend scalability.

• Security & Compliance – Enforce authentication, authorization, and encryption standards, ensuring secure API development and compliance with enterprise security best practices.

• Cloud & DevOps Integration – Deploy and manage backend services on AWS, GCP, or Azure, automate infrastructure with Terraform, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

• Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with ML, data, and product teams to align backend infrastructure with business goals, influence product roadmaps, and advocate for backend best practices.

• Proficiency in Backend Development – Strong coding skills in Python and Java

• Cloud & Infrastructure Experience – Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.

• Database & Data Management – Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)

• Security & Authentication – Understanding of best practices and compliance standards for enterprise applications.

• Strong Problem‑Solving & Collaboration Skills – Ability to work in a fast‑paced startup environment, solve complex technical challenges, and collaborate with ML, data, and product teams.

• 1+ Year(s) of Backend Development Experience – Hands‑on experience developing APIs, working with cloud environments, or contributing to backend systems in an academic, internship, or professional setting.

• Eagerness to Learn & Experiment – Comfortable working in a high‑growth startup environment, iterating quickly, and exploring new backend architectures and technologies.

• 4+ Years of Experience in Backend Engineering – Proven experience building scalable, high‑performance backend systems, optimizing for latency, reliability, and security.

• Experience with Large‑Scale Systems – Background in distributed computing, event‑driven architectures, and real‑time data processing.

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship – Ability to lead backend architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices for scalable backend development.
