The Senior Power Engineer – Energy Storage leads engineering delivery from concept to energization with independent day-to-day execution.

The role blends hands-on engineering with client-facing responsibilities, coordinating with utilities and partners while ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and PE license.
• 10+ years of progressive energy storage or power systems engineering experience.
• Experience supporting medium- to high-voltage BESS, microgrid, or IBR interconnection with utilities.
• Hands-on protective relay experience (SEL or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IEEE interconnection standards and utility processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS, microgrid, and IBR design and analysis.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and internal teams.
• Prepare design documents, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Support project execution and RFIs, field engineering, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and review equipment specifications.
