Job summary

ABB is seeking a Sr. Technical Trainer to empower customers and partners with the knowledge they need to succeed.

You will lead hands-on training sessions on low and medium voltage electrical distribution products, delivering high-impact content in hybrid and remote formats. Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning needs, develop accurate content, coordinate logistics, and continuously improve training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field PLUS minimum 6 years of experience in electrical and/or technical industry
• Knowledge of electrical distribution system equipment and applications, highly desirable
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-sufficiency and motivation—you take initiative and own your outcomes
• Willingness to travel up to 30% across North America
• Ability to work independently from any location

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the training journey
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs and develop accurate and relevant training content
• Lead a hybrid model of training between themselves and subject matter experts to ensure effective delivery of technical training programs
• Develop materials, coordinate logistics, and tailor content to audience needs
• Facilitate in-person and virtual sessions with clarity, confidence, and technical depth
• Gather feedback, assess effectiveness, and continuously improve content
