Job summary
ABB is seeking a Services Field Application Engineer to support the West Region (CA, HI) from a remote base with 50% travel. You will develop field services proposals for power delivery and automation systems, identify value-added service solutions, and lead technical proposal content for customers across industries.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred) with 6+ years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience in application engineering or field engineering in power delivery products and systems.
- Experience reviewing customer specifications, developing proposals, and managing contract development/negotiations.
- Strong oral and written communication; ability to present to all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth: identify and develop new opportunities, introduce products/services, and support regional goals.
- Deliver technical solutions: develop and present solutions aligned with customer needs, highlight scope and benefits.
- Lead project & proposal execution: provide technical leadership for field service proposals, site assessments, costs, and timelines.
- Ensure operational alignment: communicate fulfillment needs to sourcing/operations and support NPI programs.
