Job summary

Turnitin, LLC is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our remote-first team. You’ll partner with Sales to drive revenue through expert technical pre-sales support, product demos, and customer-focused architecture discussions across higher education and secondary education markets.

You will guide evaluations, assist with RFPs, and craft compelling business cases that align Turnitin capabilities with client needs, while collaborating with Product, Marketing, and GTM teams to accelerate

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting in EdTech or Enterprise SaaS.
• Strong consultative selling and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to executives, educators, and technical audiences.
• High level of intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve complex problems.
• Flexible and humble approach focused on Turnitin customers, people, and business.
• Proven track record of managing technical evaluations, POCs, and RFP responses in complex sales cycles.
• Experience with customer workflows, including understanding complex integrations, gathering requirements, and enabling change management; LMS/LTI standards and REST APIs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customer-facing technical subject matter expert across Turnitin's Integrity and Assessment products through all sales cycles.
• Craft and deliver high-impact product overviews and demos to higher education and K-12 customers.
• Collaborate with sales to resolve technical inquiries and advise on RFP/RFI processes.
• Build compelling business cases and value-focused presentations that map product capabilities to client pain points.
• Manage client trials, pilots, and proofs of concept with clear evaluation criteria and outcomes.
• Develop deal strategies with the sales teams and align customer messaging to pain points to influence decisions.
• Conduct technical discovery with CIOs, Administrators, Deans to gather requirements and document future workflows.
• Synthesize market feedback and feature requests for internal stakeholders including Product and Marketing teams.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to scaling the Solutions Engineering organization.
